This morning we had Lexi’s 4 month (even though she will be 5 months old in 6 days) well baby visit at the pediatrician. The visit was great as usual, and Lexi only cried about a minute from her shots. She’s been cranky and grumbly since, except while sleeping. Even when I’ve gotten her to nurse, she’s murmured and complained the whole time. While she’s slept though, she’s been so sweet, peaceful, and beautiful. I’ve been overcome by thankfulness, happiness, and love for this girl and the opportunity and blessing to be her Mama. She’s more wonderful than I ever dreamed, and every day she teaches me more about myself and about God and His love for me. I’m so humbled by all of this.
